HKSTP SAA 3x3 Basketball Challenge

Terms and Conditions

- Teams will consist of at least three and no more than four players each. Only three players can be on the court at any point with one substitute. 

- Players of Basketball Association of Hong Kong, China (Group A and B) will not be accepted.

Rules: 

- All games should be played using the FIBA rules (https://fiba3x3.com/en/rules.html).

Ball: 

- To be provided by the organiser.

Jersey: 

- All participating teams are required to prepare 1 set of light color and 1 set of dark color jerseys for competitions (Grey jerseys are not accepted). 

- It is required to have numbers printed on both the front and back of the jerseys, each team member must have a unique number. 

- If any teams’ jersey do not match the above requirements and the organiser is required to arrange the number cloth, HK$60 (per 1 set jersey) cleaning fee will be imposed.

Referees: 

- Registered referees will be appointed by the organiser.

Game Format: 

- The competition consists of division stage and play-off stage. 

- After the division stage, all teams will advance to either the Golden Cup or Silver Shield play-off stage. 

- Matchups for the division stage will be announced via email 3 days before the match, determined by a draw. 

- Each game has a duration of 10 minutes. 

- If a team fails to have at least 3 players on the court within 5 minutes after the scheduled start time, they will automatically forfeit the match with a score of 0:21. The forfeiting team receives 0 points. 

- If the game cannot be completed due to overtime on the court, the final scores of both teams will determine the result without a replay. 

- The organiser reserves the right to change the competition format at any time based on the actual registration situation.

Protest: 

- The final decision results and all decisions are subject to the referee on the spot. Appeals are not accepted. 

- If the player or players with the staff dispute in the game, the referee will make the judgment according to the case. 

- The organisers reserve the right of final decision in case of any conflicts, etc.

Technical Fouls Guidelines: 

- The League will execute strictly for the team’s technical foul 

- Players technical foul. 

- To impede for throwing from out of bound, so that the time delay of game. 

- To make the non-physical contact foul of harassment when a player is shooting. 

- Talk with staff, Field Supervisor or Players with bad attitude (If any players who play the game or stay in bench issued a vulgar language, it will implementation the technical foul immediately). 

- Misconduct by team coaches, managers, or spectators (not listed in the player roster) that significantly affects the game may result in the referee issuing a Technical Foul to the team without warning. * Before the technical foul performed, referee does not need to make any verbal warning. Leader, coach or team player representatives have a responsibility to management disciplined, please pay attention to each person in charge.

Awards:

Golden Cup

- Team Champion (HK$2,000 sports store gift card + Trophy + Medals)

- 1st Runner-Up (HK$1,200 sports store gift card + Trophy + Medals)

- 2nd Runner-Up (HK$1,000 sports store gift card + Trophy + Medals)

Silver Shield

- Team Champion (HK$800 sports store gift card + Trophy + Medals)

- 1st Runner-Up (HK$600 sports store gift card + Trophy + Medals)

- 2nd Runner-Up (HK$400 sports store gift card + Trophy + Medals)
*MVP (HK$500 sports store gift card): 1 Player in total, selected by the organiser from the Golden Cup Team Champion. If more than one player scores the same, the award and gifts will be shared equally.

Adverse Weather Arrangements:

- The competition will be cancelled if Black Rainstorm Signal, Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal 8 are issued at or after 11am on 30 March 2025. If the above signal is issued during the competition, the organiser will decide whether to terminate or continue the event depending on the circumstances, so that participants can leave the venue as soon as possible or stay in a safe place to take shelter.

Statement: 
- By participating, you consent that all players and have read and agree with the terms and conditions of the match. 
- All participants of the players and the team have a clear understanding of the accident in the basketball game, the collisions, and injuries, the organiser does not have to bear any responsibility. 
- Participating in any team competition by the organiser held to incurred or cause any person (including the third party) in money, accidental injury, or other physical damage, the organiser does not have to bear any responsibility. 
- The Organiser has the competence to make changes at any time in all the contents of the constitution, such after modifications without prior notice.
